On May 1, 2025, Canada’s
IRCC conducted its first Express Entry draw for education professionals,
issuing 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs). Candidates needed a minimum CRS
score of 479 and a profile submitted before August 10, 2024. This marks the
debut of the education category, introduced earlier in February, under Canada’s
economic immigration priorities. The draw follows Canada’s recent national
election and reflects the new government’s focus on skilled immigration.
