The Indian government has introduced significant changes to passport rules. For those born on or after October 1, 2023, a birth certificate is now the only accepted proof of date of birth. Passports will now include digitally embedded residential addresses in barcodes, and a color-coded system will distinguish passport types—blue for ordinary citizens, white for government officials. Parents' names will no longer appear on new passports. The number of Passport Seva Kendras is also being expanded. For guidance and expert assistance, contact GOFOREN at 7600909090.
