This is how the usual PNP process looks like.

Step 1: Application
[Duration 2 months]

You gather essential documents and apply for Expression of Interest and send your PNP nomination to the respective PNP. (Keeping in mind that you have cleared IELTS by now and completed Educational Credentials Assessment from World Education System-WES)

Step 2: Draw 
[Duration 3�6 months]

The respective Province will randomly conduct draws through out the year. It can be every 3 months or every 4 months. You will have to wait for their draw and an invitation to follow.

Step 3: Invitation and Document submission
[Duration 3�5 months]

Now your Province has sent you an invitation and asked you to submit all the documents including your medical exam results. You will be given 90 days period to submit everything. They will check all your documents and send you nomination confirmation.

Step 4: Nomination received 
[Duration 2 months]

You will be sent nomination from your province and you will receive additional 600 points for your Express Entry profile and you will receive an invitation in one month.

Step 5: Visa Confirmation
[Duration 2 months]

Visa E-mail will be sent to you within a month or two and you will be asked to sent your passport to Delhi Canadian Embassy and wait for it to return with stamping in 2 weeks time.

The process is lengthy but a good back up for those who cannot gather enough points for F SW (Federal Skilled Worker) express entry cut off directly.

The duration mentioned above are based on average file processing time and it may vary from province to province.

Total file processing duration for PNP on an average is: 18 Months (1 and a half year)
