In 2023, Canadian immigrants aged 25 to 54 experienced an increased employment rate correlating with the years since landing: 77.8% for 5 or fewer years, 81.9% for 5-10 years, and 84.5% for over 10 years. However, the overall immigrant employment rate of 82.6% was almost 4% lower than Canadian-born counterparts. Unemployment rates followed a similar trend, decreasing with longer residency.
