September 26, 2022: Canada will remove all COVID-19 border and travel measures effective October 1, 2022
The Canadian government has confirmed that all COVID-19 border and travel measures will end, effective October 1, 2022. Effective October 1, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to:
- provide proof of vaccination — this means not vaccinated travellers can enter Canada;
- submit public health information through the Arrive CAN app;
- undergo pre-arrival or on-arrival COVID-19 testing;
- carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation;
- undergo health checks for travel on air and rail;
- wear masks on planes and trains; or
- monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada.
